Being a Mommy of one is amazing! I love having my full focus on just my little Ryan. My husband and I gave ourselves about two years before we made this decision final. It is rare now a days and I guess even before for parents to only have one child. People say: "Oh, give yourself some time and you will change your mind." or "But little Ryan needs a playmate." or they tell you how spoiled or lonely a singe child can be. But I think that there are so many pros for a single child as well. They get more attention, they get more toys and don't have to share them, they get a better first car because we only have to buy one. I can also be a stay at home mom longer because we don't have to spend money on two kids but only one. I am planning when he gets into school to be a PTA mom and very involved in his education. Up until a couple years before we got married my husband and I weren't even sure we wanted kids at all but we did say if we had one we hoped we would have a boy and if so we would just have one. I am just writing this because so much is focused on the more that one kid house hold. Its a couples personal choice and I am very happy with the choice my husband and I have made.

Now, to change subjects its Summer! The kids will be out of school and who knows what that can mean :) Here is a list of things you can do with them that I am sure they will love:

bake cookies, go to the pool, paint a picture or even their room, go to the park and play on the playground or shoot a basketball, go to the zoo, go to the aquarium, make a fort in the living room and sleep in it that night, order pizza for lunch and watch a movie, Pump it Up Party, write a play with the whole family in it and act it out, go to the library, make a scrapbook together, go to the McDonald's playground, put them in a Church or camp activity (as long as they want to), plan an end of the summer party at your neighborhood pool, go to the mall and walk around, take a trip to another local town, give the dog a bath outside with lots of bubbles, let them take a guitar or drum lessons, go to Chuckie Cheese, if you around Houston Jumping Jaks, Ruckus Room, the Grand Event, read, let them help you clean (most kids love the vacuum and sweeping), go to a muesum, take sidewalk chalk and bubbles outside and play

There are so many activites you can do with your kids this summer... you just have to look for them :)
